A Survival Guide for Slowed-Down Mothers in Switzerland.
A collection of the author’s memories and experiences in Switzerland between 2011 and 2026.
The author, Katarína Mannino—originally a journalist from Bratislava—moves from Slovakia to Lausanne with her eight-month-old daughter in tow to follow her Italian-Canadian husband. Over the following years, primarily in the German-speaking part of Switzerland, she builds both a Slovak and an international community. She navigates the challenges of finding real estate, doctors, schools, and after-school activities, spends hours in hospitals with her husband (a high-risk patient), experiences a miscarriage, gives birth to a second daughter, furthers her education, finds a job, and finally finds herself in her own garden, at the heart of her family and community.
This book is dedicated to women and fellow Slovak expats striving to find their community abroad. It is meant to serve as a guide during difficult times—like a warm, loving aunt, who is so often missed when living far from home.

This exhibition of photographic art reflects his artistic evolution and study of this fascinating style. Alongside the pictures, the dresses worn during the photoshoots will be on display, together with other props.
This wonderful photo exhibition begins in Zurich and will continue to Munich, Berlin, Norway, Milan, Japan, and Rio de Janeiro, before concluding in Michalovce.
